Why I Think George W. Plunkitt Was So Opened About How He Received His Wealth

George Washington Plunkitt was a political man in New York who served as both a member of the legislative, and Tammany Hall. He was not afraid to talk about his views during his political career and was often criticized (as most politicians were) during his time as a politician. He was not afraid to make his point about the “Hayseed” Republicans which he felt strongly against.

George Washington Plunkitt believed in a form of politics called “Honest Graft” in which the politician tells the truth about their career and what they do during their time as a politician. During one of his speeches, he talks about how being a dishonest politician is merely focused on one’s personal growth and interests for themselves and not for the other people, state, and sometimes country. When it comes to honest graft, it is the complete opposite in which the person cares for the growth of the state, citizens, and country.

If you couldn’t tell, George Washington Plunkitt was one of the very few politicians that were not afraid to speak the truth for himself and the others. He was a man not afraid to voice his opinion and speak the truth about what he was doing. This takes courage, courage in which George Washington Plunkitt had much of.

He was not afraid to voice his opinion, almost all of his speeches were him being an honest politician.

When he would speak, he would speak his opinion with much courage and force and had a strong opinion about the so-called “Hayseed” Republicans.

When it came to George Washington Plunkitt, I am sure that there would be the few that would be against him and wonder how he would receive his wealth and if it came from his political career. Well, like I said before George Washington Plunkitt was an honest man who practiced honest politics, so, he was not afraid to tell them how he received most of his wealth and since he didn’t believe in dishonest politicians he would voice his complete honesty.

In his Autobiography, it talks a lot about what I said above, but you should know that his book was altered by a man who voiced his opinion through George Washington Plunkitt book and that’s why there are some harsh words in his book about being completely against Republican Hayseeds.

Final Thoughts: George Washington Plunkitt was a member of the New York Senate and was loud when it came to voicing his opinion. He was a faithful politician who believed in keeping his values and goals as a center during his political career. He believed in and practiced a form of politics known as “Honest Graft” and worked hard to speak the truth. He had an opinion against the “Hayseed” Republicans but was not as aggressive as he seemed to be when it came to his book. He worked hard in his political career for the people and not himself and as I said above a truthful politician.

I hoped you enjoyed.
